She utterly hated the fact that her own Void magic had pulled her through that portal. She had no idea why, but she had felt a forboding feeling towards that white mass, and yet she’d still been forced through it.
And Louise had no idea that her own magic had the ability to do this.
Of course, Louise thought bitterly, it could be because of him, she thought bitterly, and pulled up her dark hood. The most she could deduce was that she was in the same place, but the portal had definitely taken her somewhere else. It was still the same surrounding bush, and the fresh scent of leaves in the air, but it just felt… different.
Alternate world, Louise thought, deadpanning. How cliche.
Somewhere in that ‘alternate world’, there was a girl who looked the same as the other one. She was practicing her magic. There were lots of explosions and dark smoke. As usual, Louise failed on her spells.
She left a deep sigh, deciding to take a break. Someday she won’t mess it up. Someday she’ll do her spells without making any mistakes.
Louise began to wander towards the edge of the forest, hoping that nothing drastic would happen like the school being decimated or something horrible like that. She spotted a flash of pink hue and ducked behind a tree, hiding from sight.
Was that…? No… her luck couldn’t be that bad. Louise groaned softly. How unfortunate. It seemed like fate was purposely toying with her.
Louise looked behind herself. It was like she heard something. No, it was probably just an animal, she thought. Anyways, back to the practicing! She closed her eyes, trying to concentrate on her spells. She took a deep breath and goes further with her spells.
The other Louise narrowed her eyes at her counterpart, tugging her hood higher so that her face was shadowed. Being in alternate universe affected the timeline as well. Did this Louise know she was a Void mage? Had the incident with Prince Wales already happen? She decided to just observe.
Louise has got a bad feeling. It was like someone was looking at her. She lowered her wand and turned carefully around. She had pointed her wand at the tree where the other person was hiding.
”Who’s there?” she said slowly. ”Show yourself!”
